That is Van's new nickname..he is my little Snuggle-Bug :) He LOVES to fall asleep with Mommy on the couch before Daddy get home (I am sure this will be a re-occurrence more and more when I go back to work) Van will snuggle up on my chest and with a few pats on the back he is OUT :) This also happens at night after he SCREAMS his head off because he HATES getting his diaper changed he eats and then snuggles up in mom's arms..I love it soo much that I usually let him lie next to me in bed...I know I know some people don't agree with this but its better then letting him cry himself to sleep...I can't stand that..and when I go back to work I will REALLY want my sleep and if that is what I have to do..that's what I have to do ;) Also there is NOTHING better then knowing your child is quiet and calm because you are right there :) again I LOVE that!!
So personally I am in no hurry to break his Snuggle-Bug habbits ;) because soon enough (maybe not for years but) he will eventually be an independent little boy and not "need" his mommy anymore...those days can wait thats for sure!!
Sometimes it's hard, but I'm glad that you aren't listening to "some people." "Some people" don't take care of Van 24/7, so "some people" don't know what's best for him! You know what's best for him and for you, and if snuggles in the middle of the night are what's best, then like you said...ENJOY it while it lasts. ;o)
