I took Van to the pediatrician yesterday to make sure his umbilical hernia was normal and that it wasn't anything serious. The Dr. said that they are very common especially in preemies and that one day around six months we will wake up and it will be gone. Most of the babies who have them are born with it, and the reason we didn't notice it until about a week ago is because his intestines weren't developed enough to "show" the hernia yet.
