I have "known" this was coming for quite a while but he WOULDN'T give me ANY hints about when, where, or how..which is a good thing because i didn't really want to know! I thought maybe it was going to happen on my birthday...that passed with no ring. Then one day shortly after my birthday I was shopping in the mall and there is a hellzberg diamonds store (where the ring is from) and I wanted to see "the ring" in person! It was GORGEOUS, even prettier in person then online! :) I was texting Chad and telling him all about it (he was in Davenport at the time also), i thought maybe he would stop in to see it but told me he was heading home instead...so my friend and i went on shopping. After a while of shopping we had one more stop to shop and it was past the diamond store..we were walking by and my friend started laughing hysterically!! I didn't have a clue about until she FINALLY told me that my boyfriend was in the diamond store! (Caught ya Chad ;) ha! So we stopped to talk to him but he was looking at charms (for my bracelet) sooo i really didn't know for sure if anything happened that day or not...but i had a feeling he purchased "my ring". So i thought maybe on our anniversary the proposal would happen...but that day passed with no ring also!! Only one more day could be the day is what I thought...Mother's day!
I was wrong! It was on an every ordinary day!! April 23 at around nine in the morning :) Chad had woke up a little before I did and hid the ring under my pillow, which I was still laying my head on (sneaky sneaky)! I lifted the pillow to grab my glasses and there was the box holding my ring! I looked at him with a smile and asked "what is that?!!" Then he went on to ask me to marry him and so on and OF COURSE I said YES!! I spent all morning calling everyone to let them know the big news and their duties!!
I couldn't be happier..a baby on the way..being engaged to the man of my dreams..life is wonderful!!!
