End on a happy note:)

Last Friday the 13th we had another ultrasound with Iowa City and I had my regular appointment with Dr Ricaurti, I wore green for a little luck and the weather was amazing I knew it was going to be a great news kind of day:)!

I went to my regular appointment first at 11, baby was growing well, measuring almost a week ahead, and heart beat was great! Awsome! I had tons of questions for my Dr, he could not answer them all, he said that this was the first time in his 30 years he had a baby with extra fluid on the brain .. but did his best to explain things .. sat and talked with me until I was comfortable enough and I am very thankful to him for doing that! And then he told me to make another appointment for two weeks..yay! We are at every two weeks now, so exciting!!

After the appointment I finally went to the hospital and REGISTERED ! Feels awesome to have that checked off the list:) By then it was noon and time for lunch! The baby and I knew EXACTLY where we were going to eat... PANERA!! I will be honest I hate eating at places alone but it was pretty nice and the food was great! Then it was time to calm the nerves with some target shopping!!:) I got baby boy new onsies, long sleeve and short, we still can not find newborn clothes so I picked up two packs of my favorite gowns (a sporty one and a animal one), also got a pack of muslin swaddle blankets, binky's, and picked up baby shower gifts!! I was out of target just in time for my ultrasound:)

The ultrasound was pretty fast and with a new Dr I hadn't met yet.. long story short .. they told me that the fluid is still showing "high normal" of 11.7 /12 mm and they are calling it a mild case. But that the outcome of this is usually a positive one and that the baby is most likely just fine!:) Especially since everything else is looking normal and spot on.. they checked the whole brain and it was all looking well!! They also mentioned that one reason the fluid could be showing "high normal" is because of down syndrome BUT usually they are smaller babies and our little one is weighing in at a whopping 4lbs 14oz!! That is amazing news! She gave me a few options that we could do (looking further into it) but I said I didn't want anymore testing...I want to end on a happy note and wait until he is here to face any issues IF there will be any!
