As most of you already know, the biggest news in the past two years (besides Crosbi arriving) is that we are expecting AGAIN!! Baby number three is due to arrive May 4 (May the Fourth Be With You as Chad loves to say..lol), and is another BOY! I have always been more of a tomboy my whole life and to me 3 boys fits our house hold perfectly!
Right now I am 26 weeks and 2 days along, just about to hit the THIRD TRIMESTER already?!! That just blows my mind! This pregnancy is going by soo fast, I feel like I just skipped the second trimester (of course right since that's the best one ha!) ! Here is a comparison belly pic of week 25:)

This pregnancy I started 12 lbs heavier then I have ever been before, just could not lose those last pounds after Crosbi baby!! But I was so sick and could eat nothing but cottage cheese, fruit, and pickles the first trimester I lost 5 lbs, now I am feeling great as far as energy and sick to my stomach goes!! I have gained 6 lbs as of my last appointment, but I have my next appointment in two days and we will see the new weight ;) im thinking I may have jumped quite a bit lol ice cream and pizza is just too great to pass up while pregnant;)!! (I do not weigh myself at home, as it can just make me feel gross and depressed and I just want to enjoy this last pregnancy!)
The main thing I want to blog about this post is all the weird/stressful issues we have gone through with this pregnancy!! I am sure I wont forget it all over years but still great to have it wrote down also:) First thing first, this little boy is what I like to call our 'Fate Baby' because we had just decided we were done having children when WHAMM-O we were pregnant, so as the saying goes it was ment to be!! :) Soon after we found out we called to schedule our appointment, the appointment was for when I would be 12 weeks, first thing that through me off because the other two times they wanted to do an appointment and then an ultrasound all by 8 weeks ! Soo the waiting was killing me of course ;) When the day finally arrived it was kind of a crazy train..we saw six different people and it took 2 HOURS??! CRAZY-NESS!! We had an ultrasound, and found out we were further along then we had thought ( another odd thing to me because I was spot on for the due date with the other two haha!) We only saw the Dr for 5 minutes and we where told some scary news that we needed to have testing done because the back of the babies neck was thicker then usual .. we were upset, confused, and shocked!
After that news we chose to go back to Dr. Ricaurte, he explained everything so much better..and we found out that because our baby had shown a thickness in the back of the neck it may mean a chromosome disorder, most likely being down syndrome, but that it could also mean our little one has a heart defect. I was worried out of my mind! Chad didn't say much but I think he was being strong for me ! A few weeks later we had to go to Iowa City to have another ultrasound with the specialist. When we got there our first stop was of course for me to get weighed and such, then they sent us to a lady who went over everything that the Drs would be looking for in the ultrasound, (pretty much just looking for chromosome related problems and looking at the neck again) and told us what we could do if the results leaned towards a disorder. I wont go over the different things we could have chose to do because the results came back great! The Dr told us that the neck was measuring more on the normal side (a little above but nothing to be concerned about) and that he didn't see anything else that would make him think a chromosome disorder was at hand. He then told us we do have to come back and check for heart defects but we shouldn't lose sleep over it! Wow that was a huge releife for us!
We did go back and had a level two ultrasound at almost 21 weeks (that's when we found out it was another boy also!!) They checked everything the features of the face, the hands, fingers, toes, organs, blood vessels and of course what we were there for the chambers of the heart! Everything was still looking good and showing no big concerns! He did mention the neck is still thicker, but that at this point its too late to count that as an issue ( kind of confusing but ok, I think it sounds like another no big deal!) We do have to go back to the specialist again around 30 weeks to check the heart again, there are defects that don't show up on ultrasound until around 28/29 weeks he said that he wants to look over still. I am thinking way more on the positive side of things now then when we started this journey, and I am thinking this all will come back great and our baby boy is healthy and strong!:)
