A post from a month ago. .and now, about the house

We finally closed on our house last friday and we are in love!! We have a lot of work to get done this summer on the ancient upstairs, but we are so ready to get our hands in it! Ever sence we put an offer on the house we have been dreaming and planning about what we want to make the upstairs look like..first things first already tore out the carpet upstairs ;)

I took plenty of before pics to show all our work over time!! here are my pictures of our Home Sweet Home <3

This is a collage of most of the downstairs minus closets and the bathroom...love that we have ceiling fans in every room!! (All the wallpaper is coming down later this week) ;)

These next two collages are mainly the upstairs and the flooring/lighting we will be changing, hopefully this summer :)

(I took quite a few pics of the outside also because our next year project will be landscaping !!)

That was the post from a month ago, now what I would like to do is show our work in that amount of time:) And kind of explain it!

The very first thing we did was paint paint paaiinntt!! (and we are still painting) lol The only picture I dont have is our kitchen, its an olive green with a light tan color, my little cafe!

Living room...

 Our bedroom..

Playroom...

Another thing we did that took a while was texturing the playroom walls. After the wall paper came down the underneath drywall was falling apart, so we chose to use joint compound and make the wall look prettier :) It took about three coats and three days but it got done and looks great !

Chad working hard :)

Our beautiful wall, go us!

We have also painted our hallway, the downstairs anyway, now we are working on Vans room! Once that is done Chad and I will finally be out of the living room ;) yes we are sleeping in our very own studio apartment ! haha Here are a few pics of the start of Vans buzz lightyear/space room...

Needs one or two more coats, the the trim will be bright green with space deals all over the room :)
